Derek Laing opened Blackhall Cycles in May 1994 with a loan from the Princes Scottish Youth Business Trust.

Derek has been a bike mechanic for over 10 years and has built up a wealth of experience servicing and repairing a wide range of bikes from kid's bikes to mountain bikes or racing bikes to folding bikes.

Derek prides himself on the quality of each and every one of the bikes he sells or services. Each bike is carefully assembled and rigorously checked before customers are allowed near it!
